I think I like making drinks based on movies. If you haven’t seen Pineapple Express I’d definitely recommend taking a look. It’s an interesting cross between a stoner comedy and action flick. The following is a take on a tropical favorite that includes some greenery
.
Ingredients:
- 4 oz. pineapple juice
- 1 1/2 oz. coconut cream
- 1 1/2 oz. gold rum
- Pineapple stick
- Mint leaves
How To Make It:
Take all your ingredients except for the fruit/mint and throw them in a shaker or blender with some cracked ice. Mix it up until it is a nice slushy consistency. Pour mixture into a chilled Collins glass. Use the pineapple stick to push the mint leaves towards the bottom of the cup. Leave the pineapple stick in the glass and top it off with an extra mint leaf. Bonus points if your mint leaf looks like a cannabis leaf

I’ll take the drink over the movie any time. Not that the movies bad…. I just like to drink. And damn you have some online groupies Joe Bartender. They want to get in touch with you and sh*!. Do you get a lot of a** off this site. My friend went to bar tending school one of those that advertises “great job placement” and all that. He’s working as a bus-boy/bar-back at this third rate biker bar and grille. What a tool. I’ll refer him over here so he can get his sh** together.

You could have made it even more in line with the film and added some grass! The hit of the booze and then the mellow after taste - perfect balance!

I think if that movie had come out in my pre-mom party days I’d love it…might watch it eventually anyway though in no rush to see it! I never would have thought about mixing pineapple and mint, but I love anything with rum in it, so i bet it would be tasty!
