Egg Nog - Cooked

Posted by: Joe Bartender on Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Ingredients

How To Make It:

Here’s an egg nog recipe using cooked eggs, so no one has to be paranoid about salmonella. Mix granulated sugar, 2 Tbl. of water, and lemon juice in a med. sized sauce pan. Let boil, cook 5 min, until it turns dark amber. Remove from heat, and slowly stir.

Glass: Punch Bowl.

OK, what’s next? The rest of the recipe seems to be missing….and when and how are the eggs cooked?

So after that can you just cool it down and put it in the fridge? If so, that seems to be pretty easy! Man I drank so much egg nog yesterday. I think I gained at least ten pounds!

Does cooking the eggs change the flavor at all? I have never been a huge fan of egg nog in general, but maybe this would be better… a little smoother I would hope?

What about removing the salt but make it more with sugar?
