Jes is a bartender at The Annex Nightclub in Madison, Wisconsin. We met her via MySpace. She was kind enough to answer a few questions as part of our series of Bartender Interviews.

Why did you decide to get into bartending?

The money and the atmosphere. I am a people person

How did you go about getting your first bartending gig? Was it tough to land your first one?

Yes it was tough, I just kept calling and coming in to the bar I wanted to work at.

What is your favorite drink to make?

Bloody Mary, Flaming Dr. Peppers, Long Islands, Peanut Butter and Jelly

What is your least favorite drink to make?

None really bother me

What is your bartender pet peeve?

Short tempered people

What’s the most interesting/scandalous thing that’s happened to you on the job?

I work in a rock club and have gotten to meet a lot of cool people from famous bands and most of them hit on me- people I thought I would never even have a chance to meet

What’s the best line somebody has used to get a free drink from you?

I’ll show you my cock

What’s the most memorable pickup line you’ve heard?

Nice shoes, wanna fuck?

Who would YOU want to have a drink with and why?

Robin Williams because he is probably a riot.
