Hot weather is already here in most of the U.S. and that means lots of time spent out on patios with refreshing beverages. Once you have get tired of frozen Margaritas, it’s time to start thinking about frozen Daiquiris! Since you already know I am crazy about Rum, you shouldn’t be surprised I’ve chosen to spotlight Daiquiris here at Joe Bartender.

Here are 7 awesome Daiquiri recipes to get you started. Everybody likes to make their own variations on these drinks, so feel free to use our comments feature to let us know about your favorite daiquiri recipes!

Daiquiri Slush

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Daiquiri

Here’s some interesting daiquiri information you might not know: Daiquiris, likea lot of awesome rum drinks originated in Cuba. In Daiquiri, Cuba, in fact. Rum was being used to fight malaria. Engineers from the U.S. started adding sugar to the fever fighting booze. The drink gradually evolved to include ice and lime and whammo – the daiquiri was born.

Daiquiri Tip: If you’re making a blended daiquiri, blend the ice and fruit first (for about 20 seconds). Then add the rest of your ingredients.
