How to Be a Bartender

Up to this point on Joe Bartender, we’ve compiled some pretty kick-ass recipes, articles and tips. But starting next week, we will be introducing a major new feature.

On Monday we will be beginning a new series: How To Be A Bartender.

This series is designed primarily for people who are interested in a bartending career. The series is designed in three phases.

  • Learn the basic bartending skills (without enrolling in a bartending school)
  • Landing a bartending job (the con-job method)
  • Thriving as a bartender (building your clientele and increasing your tips)

Now… for the seasoned bartenders: I would like to encourage you to share your knowledge to help the newbies out. The primary reason I do this site karmic – I want to give back to the industry by helping people avoid the mistakes I made. Each article will have a threaded comments section so that newbies can ask questions and the pros can give their advice and guidance.

To make things even sweeter: I will be giving away prizes every month to the most active commenters – including some ultra-limited edition Joe Bartender t-shirts. I hope this will help build our little bartending community. At the very least it will be a lot of fun.

And don’t worry: we will still be updating with new drink recipes, Bartending videos and a new slate of Bartender interviews.

We are just getting started. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Joe.

A little esoteric but – if anyone over the age of 50 asks for a twist, use the real thing, just the peel. Under 50, use the wedge. Older people are always impressed when a younger bartender knows a real twist.

A big score for me has been slipping a couple of cocktail napkins under cellphones or PDA’s sitting on the bar. People think you’re really looking out for them.

Sick and tired of obtaining low numbers of useless visitors for your site? Well i want to let you know about a fresh underground tactic that produces myself $900 on a daily basis on 100% AUTOPILOT. I possibly could be here all day and going into detail but why dont you just check their website out? There is really a great video that explains everything. So if your seriously interested in producing easy cash this is the site for you. Auto Traffic Avalanche
